I was intending to take some pictures of her today, but the day completely disappeared on me! Seriously, where did it go?
I’m struggling choosing between her bunny legs and human legs, they are both adorable 🙂 Luckily with the new system, it’s so easy to change. And I’m so happy that some knitted sweaters my mom made for my petite modigli back in the day actually fits her pretty nicely, and even looks so cute when she’s in her bunny legs 🙂
Since I dont have photos to show, I want to mention a little project I’ll be testing out. As I’ve mentioned so many times before, I really want to try some more wig-making. But the price of alpaca hair is just too high for me, I dont feel good enough to keep buying it to make half decent wigs. I’d also like to try and dye some hair eventually, and I just know I’ll mess up a little. So I’ve been looking for alternatives. It turns out that some fibers are made from plants, go figure! Cruelty free <3 I bet it’s not as amazing as alpaca, but it should be good enough for learning and testing.
I came across a nice blog that talks a little about the alternatives, check it out here. I already ordered some fibers from this list, and I’ll let you know what I think when I have it. The fibers are white, and the seller said it takes dye easily, so that should be awesome. And for a fraction of the price of alpaca 🙂 I can order a nice quantity without worrying about customs too. I contacted the seller before making my purchase and the reply was quick, if I’m happy with everything I’ll leave a mini review of both the shop and the fibers 🙂
Just some rambles about my new realfee:
She reminds me SO much of spring, I know it’s a clichè but that cant be helped. The fullset is so flowery and light, and the faceup gives me that spring feeling as well. I almost feel Fairyland released these dolls at the wrong time, because getting her in fall feels so off. Oh, and I’m not really a big fan of the transparent wings. I dont get it, almost invisible wings. If I ever get that airbrush, I will make them pink and white to match the whole outfit I think 🙂 They do have some nice details on them, by the magnet. There are pretty roses and stuff, so they may be too much of a challenge for me to paint in any case.
Although I’m not a fan of the face of the soon-to-be released realfee, I do love her pink mermaid tail. I wish Fairyland would release just the legs for upcoming projects. I’d love cat feet (and ears!), but I’m not sure if I should take on more dolls at the moment.
I haven’t tried the pukifee connector yet, mostly because I cant stop playing with Story, I dont want to take her apart 😛

Look at that gigantic Soso. I can’t get over it, I feel like the RLF one is pushing the boundary already, and then this huge weird thing popped up in the box. There is also something different with the lower lip on the LTF one that I dont like, like he is sucking the middle part of the lip in. Cant wait to hear what Fairyland has to say when the CS board opens again.
Oh Fairyland, when will you not mess up my orders?
Okay I’m being dramatic, the only mess they made was sending me a littlefee soso faceplate instead of the pukifee one. Honestly, the big size of the soso plate really freaks me out ;P
But my bunny is home! I tried making a video, but it is extremely shaky and sometimes out of focus. But it was also a lot of fun 😛
As soon as she was out of the box, I could see that she was perfect for the name Story 🙂 I’ve never named a doll this fast, lol ^^
I absolutely love her. I’m even keeping the faceup for now 🙂 She is the cutest little thing, and I even like her in completely human form which I didn’t think I would as much.

Tomorrow might be the day!
I believe May will be coming home tomorrow, and to be honest I had already given up on filming the boxopening. None of the recording devices I have will focus automatically, and none offer me a good view of what I’m actually filming while opening the box. It’s also hard to see if things are in focus or not. My other challenges were that I don’t know anything about editing videos! Final issue, no good lighting! It will be late when I finally get the change to open her up, so natural light is out of the question.
I decided to try and tackle all the issues I were having as best I could. I propped up my camera, turned on my daylight lamp, and did a small test-shoot. Obviously I had to use a really high ISO, big aperture, and I had to move back to check if I was in frame and try and see on the tiny screen if things were in focus. I decided it looked okay, not professional or anything but I’ve seen worse.
I remembered that I have imovie somewhere, and I think I can do something decent with that. I even found some royalty free music I can use. So I guess I’m going to give this thing a go after all 😛
Fairy Line
Fairyland has posted a short video on youtube featuring a new girl in their new line, the Fairy line.
Oh boy are we in trouble! I’m astounded by the work behind these new bodies, they are opening up for more customization than ever before, and I imagine making hybrids will be easier too now that the neck piece is so much easier to remove.
I must also admit I’m loving the new mermaid girl, she looks really gorgeous, even if I’m not sure I’d enjoy the mermaid tail as much. It seems fun for a photo or two, but isn’t really for me. But with the same changing system as the realfee, adding new legs will be a breeze, and I’m sure Fairyland will give us more in the future.
As much as I complain about Fairyland, and despite all the issues I’ve had with them over the years, there really isn’t anyone who can compete with the “mechanics” of their dolls. I can’t begin to imagine how much word they must have put into making this new body. The only thing that concerns me are the arms. They seem to be too easy to remove, that they may get worn out and just fall out randomly 😛 But I may be wrong of course. The videos always make things look easier than they are when I try them out 😛
And! May is finally in Norway! 😀 She is currently traveling to my town, but since she hasn’t arrived at the sorting facility here yet I doubt that I’ll get her tomorrow, though there is always that tiny hope 😛 Cross your fingers for me! I really hope she’ll like the name Story once she arrives. It’s such an awesome name, and I still love my old ante elf that had the name first (though no big regrets on selling her way back when) so it would be nice to pay a little tribute to her.

More Rochelle
Her hair was boiled, and I removed her factory paint 🙂
I have to admit, I think she’s my favorite girl right now. That hair is magic! To think I’ve been cutting the hair off on almost all of them because I thought it wasn’t possible to get it to an acceptable state. I’m still planning on trying out re-rooting, but I doubt I’ll find it very enjoyable 😛 This girl however, will be keeping her gorgeous hair!

Since I’ve whined a bit about May being so delayed and stuff, I figured it was time for something more uplifting 😛
I bid on a Rochelle on eBay that I’ve seen customized by the lovely Andreja, I wouldn’t even had known about this version if it wasn’t for her custom. She is from a set of 2 dolls, but I only wanted Rochelle, so I bid on her and won.
She came without any clothes and stuff, but the main reason I wanted her was her hair, it’s a gorgeous color! Mint with pink ;D
I hope I can be forgiven for this terrible photo, it does not do her any justice! I’ve boiled her hair since this photo was taken, and it’s currently drying 🙂 I really need to start collecting info on airbrushes, because I now have 3 blank Rochelles sitting on my shelf ^^
She really is stunning though, worth every penny in my opinion.

I finally got my shipping notice, and she has already left Korea!
My extremely long wait is finally coming to an end! 😀 I still believe she shipped too late to arrive this week though, but it all depends. Even if she flew over here super fast, the customs could be slow, so you never know with these things.

Expected shipping notice
…but no such luck. My May is still on “before shipping”.
It wouldn’t be so bad, if it wasn’t for the fact that we have this waitlist on DoA, and I can see that someone who ordered their fullset NS May with BW bunny legs, exactly like me, 11 days after my payment was confirmed and they had their doll at home the 16th of this month.
Our orders seem to be the same, yet for some reason she got hers way before me.
I guess I’ll just have to cross my fingers that she’ll finally ship during the night, I doubt she’ll be home this week in any case.
So excited for May!
Now that I know it wont be long until she ships, I’ve been feeling a little more excited again 🙂 I’m browsing Etsy for inspiration, lol ^^ I know people say that some Blythe stuff will fit realfee, like I need another excuse to buy Blythe stuff (my poor little azone hybrid still lacks clothes!).

A friend also said there are whispers that Delf zuzu stuff fits them, but I’m guessing those items are harder to come by compared to Blythe.

Hopefully they’ll ship her tomorrow, and I doubt she’ll make it here this week, most likely early next week, but hooray! Finally some updates ^^
