This is such a stupid thing to be happy about, but you guys know the pillow thing that DC ship the dolls in? Well, when I looked at box openings I noticed the pillow was orange. I hate orange. But it’s just a pillow, it really doesn’t matter….
my pillow is PINK! 😀 Opening that box and seing this beautiful pink pillow in there, it was too perfect <3

She is VERY tightly strung though, and keeps kicking herself in the butt 😛 With both feet!
It surprised me when I picked her up, she is actually kinda heavy! I had imagined she’d be very light, but her weight is really nice 🙂 (I love heavier dolls for some reason)
I already have her in a different wig and a different outfit, lol, but I want to wait until better light to take more photos of her. I just wanted to introduce her real quick.
To tell you the truth, I had sort of hoped I wouldn’t like her since I’m planning on thinning down my crowd, but so far I really, really like her. She reminds me of a swan for some reason :3 I still think her knee joints are ugly, but it really doesn’t bother me, she has so many beautiful things going for her ;P I love her hands.. and hips, and oh her belly! I want a belly like that. Oh and her butt, it’s cute too 🙂 But of course, the face, I love everything about her.
I want to give her a faceup soon, but I’m still working on Mikhaila for a friend, so maybe I’ll do them both, work on one while the other is drying and so on.

Please welcome my newest little girl, pukipuki Ruby!
She was in stock at DDE, so I decided to get her even if I had to pay the extra for her face-up which I’ll remove as soon as I get back to my equipment 😉
I have two pairs of eyes and one wig on the way for her, I didn’t want to go crazy shopping for her before I knew if I’d like the size 🙂 And now that I know, I can search for more lovely things for her ;D
The face-up will be replaced with something cuter and more natural, and the eyes I’ve ordered are blue and the other pair is purple, so we’ll see. I hope to sew her some clothes soon, the PKF dress she is wearing is HUGE on her!

I got my lovely tokidoki thingies today, which was awesome, but disappointing.
Lets get started:
Allright, so she was supposed to be the doll’s plaything. But she is a lot bigger than I thought she would be so I decided to keep her for myself! But she does have a little fault and I’m not sure if this is common or not with these, if I should contact the seller or not:
And since I got this one with Litja in mind, and the other one for Luna, of course this one ended up with Luna instead, and the pink one with Litja 😛 Why do I even bother planning these things?
I was a bit saddened by the missing paint on the cats nose. But I really like her still! And the text on the box melted my heart:
The cactus is a sign of protection. Kids are naive and vulnerable and need protection. A monster in a cactus suit would not have made much sense in my vision of things. Sandy and her friends zip themselves into cactus suits because they think the world is a cold and scary place, and they need some armor to face it. The cactus is the conserver of water, and water means life. The cactus friends for me are the representation of life, of being fragile and strong at the same time… and pure like water.

Most.. terrifying… box opening.. ever!
I went to pick her up at my local post office, and hurried home 🙂 I had charged my camera battery yesterday, because it always chooses box opening time to die on me 😛
My petite one wanted to be the one to open up her big sister:
Allright, this is where I started to freak out just a little 😛 My first impression was that she was HUGE, and I was pretty sure I’d made a mistake buying her. She reminded me of a baby, that’s how huge she was in my eyes as soon as I saw her 😛
But I went on with the opening:
Okay, this was pretty much the moment I fell for her. Hard. With hair and eyes, and not to mention the head placed on the body, she became very much alive 🙂 And my whole “she’s as big as a baby”-impression vanished. I do apologize for the blue eyes though, I want something darker for her but these were the only acceptable pair of 18mm I have. The wig is also a tad tight on her, but it was exactly her color so we’ll just have to work it out 😛
Soooo… I love her 😛 I really do. It was scary there for a second, but it turned out perfectly in the end, lol ^^

It’s the first Monster H doll that I’ve actually really liked the default make-up on. I’m still going to remove it though 🙂
I may have decided to sell Spectra, and possibly Abbey. We’ll see, I’m not in any hurry just yet but especially with Spectra I just don’t like her skin color that much. I don’t know why I keep thinking I’ll like a WS doll, when I never do 😛
Anyway, I probably wont be working on Clawdeen just yet, and I’m running seriously low on MSC, but I’ll get her done eventually 🙂

I wasn’t supposed to buy another one yet, but they had one Spectra left and I couldn’t resist ;D
For now she’ll keep her hair, but of course she’ll get a new face. I love her face, and I can’t wait to see her blank!
A million things on my mind
Allright, I just need to get some stuff out 😛
If I had a billion dollars on my account, I’d collect ALL the things. Old toys, new toys, collectables, figurines, almost all kinds of dolls (except porcelaine, clowns and ventriloquist dolls) and I’d buy a house solely to display my collection in.
But I don’t have very much money at all, so I try to collect only the things that bring me the most joy. BJD’s, and a little Danbo and a Jun (the pink rabbit).
But one temptation arose. A new trend, painting and customizing Monster High dolls. At first I liked that there was a doll with “joints” out there besides BJD’s, but at the same time they reminded me of pro ana bratz dolls. As time went by I started liking them more and more, and when I saw some of the most lovely customs, I knew I wanted to try and paint one.
But I didn’t get one, simply because I’m no good with paints. It’s my biggest issue in the BJD hobby as well, I lack the control of acrylics (and watercolor pencils) that I see the pro’s have, and I can’t stop comparing myself to the very best, so I’m never satisfied. I was afraid I’d be stuck with a doll that looked horrifying.
Today, I decided to try anyway. I bought myself a Draculaura. I removed her face, and hair. I have now started with pastels, and decided to try using watercolor pencils instead of acrylics.
I don’t have any photos of her face-up yet, but please enjoy her box opening!
When I bought her I knew I wouldn’t feel the same way for her, as I do my BJD kids. That didn’t stop me from feeling giddy on my way home, I was looking forwards to getting her out of the box. And when I saw her blank face, I felt more already than I thought possible.
I decided to work with her mold when creating her new face, I hope to finish her soon so I can show her off. Lines will be grainy because of the watercolor pencils (how Andreja does it so well I will never know) but I don’t mind for some reason ^^

She is SO TINY! Her resin is extremely light, I’m almost afraid to touch her!
I don’t remember if I wrote that her promo shots made me think of her as a little bird? Well, that impression is much stronger now 😛 If she were real, her bones would be hollow! Just like a bird.
I don’t like the wig that caused the delay, I’m puzzled as to why Soom sent cat eyes with her, and her headcap is impossible, it doesn’t stay in place. But the wig is whatever, the eyes would have been changed anyway, and the cap can be fixed with some putty.
6/7 wigs are too big for her, yosd clothes are too big, shoes too big, she’s going to be a challenge 😛 I can see I’ll need more 12mm eyes now.
I took a chance when I bought this little baby, but I have to admit I think I love her. I can’t wait to get her better eyes though, and of course a bit of color in her face ;D But she is very.. special.. in a good way. So far, so good!
