Oh Fairyland, when will you not mess up my orders?

Okay I’m being dramatic, the only mess they made was sending me a littlefee soso faceplate instead of the pukifee one. Honestly, the big size of the soso plate really freaks me out ;P
But my bunny is home! I tried making a video, but it is extremely shaky and sometimes out of focus. But it was also a lot of fun 😛
As soon as she was out of the box, I could see that she was perfect for the name Story 🙂 I’ve never named a doll this fast, lol ^^
I absolutely love her. I’m even keeping the faceup for now 🙂 She is the cutest little thing, and I even like her in completely human form which I didn’t think I would as much.

I just put her in some random things, I hope to get started on her face this weekend. I’m not sure if I’m going to do anything with her lower lip or not, it isn’t AS big as it looks in photos, but it is a little uneven and still kind of large.
But she is just beautiful, I love her nose and eyeshape, her little teeth, and I can’t wait to get her faceup’ed 🙂

A little new dolly

I’ve wanted to test out azone dolls for quite a while, I’ve been searching for a pure neemo doll that I liked, but I just couldn’t find one that had the right eyes, mouth, clothes, hair, so many adorable dolls but none that were just right for me. Also, they cost an insane amount of money 😛 I didn’t want to pay that much when I wasn’t even sure I like these kinds of dolls.
I ended up purchasing a pure neemo flection body, size S, and a blank obitsu head.

It will take me ages to put this girl together completely, but I can honestly say that I find her adorable 😛 I need to research a bit to find what eyes I’d like for her, and what mouth I want. I’m debating if I should paint her or try and find some nice decals instead. I don’t have much MSC at the moment, so she will have to wait for a long time 😛
I liked her so much though, that I went back and ordered extra hands for her. I also ordered a long tee for her, hopefully it’ll fit her, since it was Blythe size :S Clothes for these cuties are very costly. I’m not even going to look for shoes for her yet. I think she can wear Blythe shoes as well? And I’ll have to make her a wig that fits her, but I don’t really have any extra hair laying around.
She’ll be a project for sure, and it will take a long time to finish her, but I’m still very happy with my new girl ^^ They can make such cute little poses.

Welcome home little one :D — Welcome home little one 😀

I’m just really, really happy right now. As I mentioned, she has some sanding marks here and there, especially on top of her head, her knees, and the backside of her thighs, but they really aren’t bad at all. So far I can’t see anything wrong with her, she is strung nicely and is just adorable. As you can see, I did not finish her wig 😛 So she had to use a fake fur one instead. The glue I was using for the second wig was a mess, and it did not look good. It wasn’t so bad after all because the color wasn’t right for her anyways.
I doubt I’ll start her faceup today, I may need to do some research first to see what others have done to tan dolls, just to see what I like and what I don’t. I’m also in desperate need of 6mm eyes with “big” pupils. NS Ruby is wearing 8mm and they are really too big for her (and have a normal dome, might have fitted better with flat), tan Ruby is wearing 6mm but one of the pupils is off center and it’s driving me nuts. They have a nice pupil size though.
I just had a look at my dollies and realised that I have a whopping 7 dolls at home! I never thought I’d get this many again, lol ^^

Okay. This girl is strung SO tightly that I can hardly move her without using at least some force. And the famous wobbly head issue is strong with this one, just as the other Chloe’s I’ve owned. The neck hole in her head is just too big for the locking mechanism. Like mentioned above, there is a gap between her chest piece and her body, Fairyland did state that the fit might not be perfect between the A-line bust and the M-line body, but this really doesn’t bother me, I just thought I should mention it.
Her stringing will of course loosen with time, and I’ve used putty in the past to fix the wobbly head syndrome, so all is well. But it aint Fairyland unless there are some tiny issues. Her headcap has a slight difference in color compared to the rest of her, but I’m not planning on having her bald so that’s fine 😛 She also has a tiny mark on one of her ankle-balls (there’s a word I never thought I’d use) but that can be sanded.
I realised how few wigs I have that’ll fit her, so I need to start saving up for some new ones 🙂 And her freakin’ feet are TINY. I have a few pairs of minifee shoes but she drowned in them, and the yosd shoes I have were either too small or it made her look like an adult baby. So for now she’s barefoot 🙂
I have no idea if I’ll start on her face today or not, I hardly got any sleep last night so I’m already exhausted.
I’m just so happy to have her home!

I gotta say, after having a few less than perfect dolly box openings, it feels amazing to get a brand new flawless dolly 🙂
I was as always, nervous that I wouldn’t like her or that she wouldn’t fit in. It took just a few seconds before I fell for her 🙂 I hope she won’t give me too much trouble when I get time to give her a faceup.

Colors are not right due to awful lighting, but huge difference!

So, super quick list of what I think:
– she’s huge compared to PKF!
– Skin tone isn’t awful, but it’s not extremely nice either. Her head has a different color than the rest of her
– I like her body, it has a nice weight to it
– I can’t move her head much at all in the ways of up and down. For some reason the ring holding her head in place will move if I try, effectively making her head fall off.
– I think she’ll be darling with a faceup :3 (and new eyes and wig)
Conclusion: Not fond of her skin tone but I like her lots and think it’ll be love when she gets her face :> I’m very happy to own my first full Lati doll.

Oh praise the whatever, she is HOME

I’ve been stalking the tracking all day, when it finally updated I ran to the shop, stood in line for EVER because there was something wrong with the system, paid a wonderful sum of $160 in custom fees, rushed home while trying not to slip on the ice, telling my friend that I’d rather break an arm and a leg while protecting the box than break the box itself.
Most of the daylight is gone already, so dark crappy potato photos as usual:

Okay, I have a few “complaints” about her. The shoulder “ball” thing? Her arm tends to jump out of it, and her elbows and knees also pop out of place just for funsies. Her elastic is so incredibly thin, I don’t think that is helping her any, and her hands are almost impossible to pose as they snap in one of two positions all the time.
But those things do not overshadow my love for this girl. She is so amazing, I’m sad my photos couldn’t capture her true beauty, and her resin is so smooth and soft and nice… I just hope I can give her a nice faceup soon, I’m dreading doing eyelashes on eyes that small! But it’ll be worth it in the end I hope 🙂
I’m so relieved to finally have her with me, and I’m thrilled that I love her as much as I do 🙂 She’s resting on her beautiful white pillow right now, it must have been exhausting traveling here at the speed of a freaking snail ;P It’s almost fitting because she doesn’t remind me of someone who’d rush to get anywhere 😉

A small ray of sunshine

I’m so tired of this. Every single package I get, the customs opens it. There’s this sticker they put on to show it’s been opened, and there are 3 boxes with alternatives to be ticked off, showing the reason they decided to open it. Not once have they actually ticked off any of the alternatives. I know customs have every right to open things, but every single time? And never telling why? It bothers me because not only does it take longer for my packages to arrive, they don’t always wrap things as good, which is always a worry with shipping dolls..
Anyway, I was still excited to open up my new little one. But I have to admit I got a small shock when I saw her. She was very filthy, I doubt she’s been cleaned a single time and I know she’s had at least two owners before me, and it was said she was from 2009, that’s quite a few years and I think she’s been heavily played with.
But dirt can always be washed off, I guess I’m the only one who at least rubs the dolls with a magic eraser before shipping them off to new owners ;P The next surprise came when I noticed her head “moves” differently from my other pukifees, at first I thought she might be glue sueded or something in her neck. Well, I pulled at her head, and the nastiest piece of string ever looked back at me. It’s gray! It’s still white elsewhere on her as far as I can tell, but eew! And there was some goo that came out as well, I don’t even want to know what it was.
Next “issue” was that her faceplate is really loose, which isn’t uncommon with PKF unfortunately, my Luna is like that as well, but I found that the magnets FL sends with were sort of glued to the other magnets in her head? The ones for ears and stuff like that? 😛 I didn’t even see them to begin with, and it took a bit of strength to get them out.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I love her weird hands! Her right hand is the default, but her left is from a completely different set! Actually, it’s the same combo I’m using on Litja ;D
So, underneath all that dirt and chipped faceup was this darling little thing. The only thing that worries me now is that dirty elastic, I reeally don’t want to restring her :S But look at her though, isn’t she adorable?
I can’t wait to find out more about who she is, and see how she’ll look with a faceup 😀 Conclusion; I’m happy <3
