I’ve been searching far and wide for 10mm eyes with large pupil… as you may know 😛
Anyway, I used to order all my eyes from captured in glass because I love the colors and they catch the light so beautifully.. But here’s a summary of my last two times ordering:
– I ordered several pairs of purple and blue eyes, some in 12mm and some in 10mm. I didn’t specify pupil size, so when they came with tiny pupils I couldn’t really complain. But all the pupils were different sizes and off center. When I contacted them about this they were extremely helpful and said they would send me new ones! But the eyes I got… Well, I had first ordered with flat back and normal dome, and the replacements I got had stems and low dome. That wouldn’t have been so bad if the colors hadn’t been so.. flat? cloudy! Flat and cloudy 🙁 They didn’t catch the light like the others did, and lacked depth. Not to mention all the pupils were off center, again.
After that order I wrote back saying I didn’t know what to do as I’m stuck with so many pairs of unusable eyes. They never replied.
– Now I went back, because they are the only dealers I know that will do custom iris and pupil sizes. They thanked me for the second chance, and I made my order. Well… they arrived today…
First off, NONE of the pupils were the size I had ordered. The worst part was two pairs though, I had ordered this beauuutiful purple color that normally only had colored pupil, and I asked if they could do a normal pupil on those, and they said they could. Apparently they couldn’t after all, because they arrived with colored pupil 🙁 And its such a shame because the color is amazing in real life!.. And one pair, seriously, I get that this is handmade and blabla, but I don’t want my dolls to look like derp… The pupils are so off center its ridiculous
One pair actually had different sized iris too…
I’ll show some photos later, right now I’m too emo to do anything. I contacted captured in glass about it, and we’ll see what they say this time. No matter what I doubt I’ll ever order from them again.
