iMda Petite 2.2 – What fits

Petite love
Important measurements (from Neo AngelRegion)

  • Height: 22cm (8.6 inches)
  • Wig size: 6 inches
  • Feet length: 3cm (1.18 inches)
This cutie is special in ever way possible, her body and size. Getting things that fit her is a challenge, and I want to share what I have found out while trying out different things on her.
I use 12mm eyes in my girl.

A little bit about wigs:

Your best bet will be to buy either directly from Neo Angelregion when they have wigs for the petite’s for sale. Unfortunately they rarely have any in stock, and when they do the selection is limited both in styles and colors.
If you like mohair wigs I strongly recommend getting custom wigs made by artists that have the head at home so they can make a perfectly fitting wig, sometimes these will pop up on etsy (I’ve never seen one on ebay but it’s worth a search.) I ordered my mohair wig from 1mim on Den of Angels, and the fit was very good, just a little tricky to actually put on her head. Once I got it on, it stayed there 😉
I find that 5/6 wigs are often too small for her, and 6/7 is too big. Small wigs will pop off her head, some 6/7 will stay on nicely with a wig cap but even then some may eat up her head. If you look at the photo on the top of the page you will see the wig that I prefer for my girl, the size is very nice, if you are rough with your dolls hair (like during photographing the dolls) I’d recommend using a bit of velcro to make it stick better but for normal every day play it isn’t a problem. I got this particular wig from RubyRed Galleria -> Wig boutique -> Size 5/6. I was looking for a white wig for my pukifee, but it was just too big for my PKF to wear without extra help. The style is “Layered Hime Cut” and is available in pink, purple or white. Please be careful to choose the right size ( 5 5/8) because they also have pink and purple in 4 1/2.

Shoes that fit:

Many say that Lati Yellow SP shoes will fit, so I ordered two pair of boots for her in that size from Dollb. Keep in mind that I do not own socks for my girl so this info will be relevant only to the barefoot. The white pair I got was a really nice fit, but I cant really see inside the shoe so I’m unsure if I’d buy ballet shoes in that size. The pink ones I got were too high, the edge of the top of the boot gets eaten by her knee joint, but they are still a good fit if that wont bother you too much.
My next try was with RubyRed again, they carry shoes for InMotion 8″ strawberry, and so far I’m pretty happy with the fit, but I have some issues with them that I will try to explain as best I can. I ordered 3 pairs of flats. One pair was white with a bow on, and when they got here the bows were awful, they did not look very pretty… the first bow was easy to remove because of poor glue. The second one ended up ripping the fabric of the shoe, so I will have to find something new to glue on to cover it. The second pair was ballerina shoes, they were very nice. The third was flats with glitter, they had a strap on them that were placed too close to the tip of the shoe, it probably looks good on dolls with big ancles but on my thin girl it looked weird. Those too were badly glued on, they came off with no fuss. They are all tight, so you cant have socks in them, but they are still the best fitting shoes I have found so far.

Notice the white flats, they are really too tight so you can see the toes and stuff a bit through the material. My biggest issues with these shoes is the opening, as you can see on the sparklies particulary well, you can actually see the start of her toes.

Clothes that fit:

This hasn’t been tested by me yet so please buy at your own risk. People say that Blythe stuff will fit. But please know that anything with sleeves is a bad bet, because the petite’s have LARGE hands, and their arms are longer than the Blythe arms. I’m also guessing that stuff that has been fitted for the Blythe boobs will look very strange on the flat petite body.

I have tried a sewing pattern that was made for Blythe, it’s a simple tank top, I used a pretty small seam allowance. I wasn’t 100% happy with it so I made one with slight alterations:
