Summer vacation is over

I didn’t do much this summer, because it’s been so incredibly hot. Like a humid hotness. But I did paint most of the exterior of my dollhouse!
Here are a few summer pics:

I can’t wait to see how everything turns out, I’d really love to try and make some furniture myself 🙂
I really want to save up for both an Azone doll as well as a Blythe, but I doubt that will happen very soon. I’m still dreaming about making more wigs too 🙂 I also bought another Monster High doll, a Twyla that was on sale! I hope to post more MH photos soon too.

Long time, finally something new :)

Finally something new to show on my blog. You may remember my very first monster high doll, a Draculaura. The poor thing has had tons of faceups since I got her, and she had gotten badly stained around the eyes and mouth :S
I decided it was time to see if she could be saved, and I’m very pleased with the results! She was orange and pink around her eyes and eyebrows, and her mouth was a bit messed up, so I tried my hardest to cover all that.

Welcome home little one :D — Welcome home little one 😀

I’m just really, really happy right now. As I mentioned, she has some sanding marks here and there, especially on top of her head, her knees, and the backside of her thighs, but they really aren’t bad at all. So far I can’t see anything wrong with her, she is strung nicely and is just adorable. As you can see, I did not finish her wig 😛 So she had to use a fake fur one instead. The glue I was using for the second wig was a mess, and it did not look good. It wasn’t so bad after all because the color wasn’t right for her anyways.
I doubt I’ll start her faceup today, I may need to do some research first to see what others have done to tan dolls, just to see what I like and what I don’t. I’m also in desperate need of 6mm eyes with “big” pupils. NS Ruby is wearing 8mm and they are really too big for her (and have a normal dome, might have fitted better with flat), tan Ruby is wearing 6mm but one of the pupils is off center and it’s driving me nuts. They have a nice pupil size though.
I just had a look at my dollies and realised that I have a whopping 7 dolls at home! I never thought I’d get this many again, lol ^^

Testing eyes and wigs

I finished Chloe’s faceup yesterday, I haven’t added eyelashes yet but I plan to, eventually 😛
I forgot to take a proper pic of her with the blue/purple eyes, so here is a bad photo:

So far I prefer the brown eyes and red wig, but I’d love to see her in brown wigs as well. Unfortunately I can’t afford buying tons of new wigs and stuff right now so she will have to be patient 🙂
I noticed that she has some damage inside her headcap. I’m not sure if I’m going to bother contacting FL about it, as it really doesn’t matter, but it was still a disappointment. I keep saying I wont order during events ever again but then I always do.
I really like the size of the moe body though. Shorter and thicker than a-line, she just looks healthier to me. I still love the a-line too though 🙂
oh yeah, no shipping notice for Ruby yet :/ I really thought they were about to ship her out, but I guess I was wrong. Oh! And my Chloe did indeed come with a certificate. I get why they are doing the certificate thing, but for me it’s a piece of paper I’m likely to lose 😛 It’s fun to have though.
