I got the pink wig I ordered, but I just really hate the bangs 😛
It looks nice in pics, but it just didn’t feel like _her_, so I decided to have some fun with her first wig instead

Wigs and eyes
I have decided to try other wig colors for Cygne, because the white is just a tiny bit boring for some reason. I’ve ordered a pink one, but it did look a little thin in the sales photos, so I’m very eager and a little nervous for it to plop into my mailbox!
As I was thinking of colors for her, I decided to try that trick people were using a few years back, putting pastels in the hair! I didn’t go crazy with it even if I sort of wanted to, because Im not sure how easy it’ll wash out:
I really liked the results, but may have gone about it differently if I were to do it over.
You may also notice that I replaced her eyelashes! The white ones she came with were nice and all, but I found them a little too overpowering in the end. I’ve edited the color of her eyes here, just to get a feel for what blue would look like on her.
Speaking of eyes, I took a chance and ordered some multi-color eyes for her yesterday. I have no idea if they’ll look anything like the sales photos, I’m guessing they’ll be more muted than they looked, and I’m a little worried that if I dont place them just right, she’ll look cross eyed. Only time will tell, I have such a limited collection of eyes in her size so I don’t mind adding some more 🙂 Who knows if there will be more big girls in my future, or if I decide to change up her look completely some day.
As for Cygne herself, I feel myself liking her more and more. I may start looking for a name for her soon, but I feel I need more time to figure her out first.
That is the most fun and frustrating thing about suddenly owning a large girl, she can’t borrow stuff from the dolls I already have and have spent time collecting things for. I either have to buy or make her things, which may or may not fit her character. It is such a pleasure when I find something that suits her 🙂
I tried to make my new girl some clothes
I found a pattern for leggings on Etsy (QTDolls on Etsy) and I tried printing a pattern I had for MSD sweater at 133%, just to see if it would fit.
The first pair of leggings are a tiny bit short for her, probably because I used a fairly thick fabric, and the first sweater was made with a fabric I got on sale ages ago, I have so much of it and since it was so cheap it wont matter as much if I mess up 🙂
The funny thing is that I think the first sweater and tights turned out pretty good!
I used my serger on the sweater because that fabric is a real pain to work with.
I made a pair of white leggings as well, I used a skirt I got on sale and they turned out pretty good 🙂
Next I made a sweater using some gorgeous fabric I got on Etsy a few years ago, it has the most adorable little strawberries on it, and I used the same pink fabric from the previous sweater for cuffs and stuff. I think I’m going to make a pair of leggings from the pink fabric as well, I think it’ll go really well with the sweater 🙂

I think I may give her regular lashes, the white ones are not clicking for me. She does give me sort of a mermaid vibe, so I can’t wait to get to know her better 🙂

I am so not prepared for this girl, and I need to get her just about everything. I’m not thrilled with the color of the wig I got her, so I am going to have to slowly purchase wigs, eyes and clothes for her.
Can’t wait to show her off!

The fullset looks gorgeous in the photos I’ve seen, but not so much that I regret not getting it. I read that the wig was exactly what I thought it would be, the typical wig that Fairyland sends with, nearly impossible to do anything with. And I’m really curious to see if those (real) feathers will look as nice in the future. I do love the sparkly eyes though, but I’m sure I can find some other eyes that will fit her just as well 🙂 I still dream of owning urethane eyes one day, but considering how many eyes I’ve ordered in the past that didn’t look as I hoped they would, that would sting a lot more when spending that much on just the one pair.
Anyway, I hope she’ll be home this week, but if not then early next week I think 🙂 I can’t believe she is this close! I need to get serious about getting her some clothes 😛

My Cygne order from Fairyland has been updated to before shipping! I cant for the life of me remember how long it usually takes from the status change to actual shipping, but it can’t be that long?
I have never been this unprepared for a dolls arrival! I basically only have 1 wig ready for her, and that’s it. I’m sure I can find some eyes in my giant box of eyes, but I doubt I will find something she’ll be wearing as a default unfortunately. I mostly have smaller sized eyes laying around, and a few weird colors in 16mm, and maybe 2 or 3 pairs of 18mm!
All I have for clothes are some badly sewn stuff from back in the day when I had my very first BJD, Luts Miyu. I remember that I didn’t shop that much stuff for her, because I thought it was insane to spend more on a piece of clothing for my doll, than what I’d spend on my own clothes! Of course I was a student back then, so I couldn’t really save up that much, and my priorities were a little different. (Affording food was my main concern, lol)
I still wish I could have gotten her vampire head with faceup, but I’m also excited to see if I’ll actually bond with her, and if I’ll like her in real life. It’s gotten easier since Fairyland actually release videos now, but it’s still the best angles in the best light, and nothing compares to having the doll in your own hands, seeing her with your own eyes. My main concern is her nose, I’m not a fan of long noses and it seems like she has a slightly long nose. I would be able to modify that, but I’ve gotten so scared of modding ever since I tried to do it to Celine’s lip and I ended up with difference in resin color. Tiny stuff like that bothers me SO much, and I didn’t feel like my pastel game was strong enough to cover it with a faceup.
Anyway, I can’t wait to meet her, she feels so close I can almost smell the fresh resin now! I hope I get a tracking number soon, and I hope she hurries home 🙂

My beautiful cyclops arrived a while ago, so have a very delayed box opening:
Im so happy to have this little guy (or girl) at home! It arrived 18th of January, so I am a bit late with this box opening 😛
The eye is so adorable, I chose to pay a little extra to decide which eye he would come with and I dont regret it. I hope they will open for eye-orders at some point, because I saw several others I would love to have.
I still have no idea how to paint this doll, I do love the siamese that they have pictured on their website, so I may copy that style. All I know is that I would love to own more than one of these guys, and I would really love to get the smaller cat as well as the bunny in the future 🙂 Who knew I would end up owning a cyclops doll!

So, after getting a little nervous from reading posts on facebook that no one could manage to get a hold of the creator of the lovely cyclops cats, we suddenly got an update and I got my tracking number!
I am really excited to see the quality of the cat and the eyes that come with.
I will post pictures as soon as the little one eyed ball of resin reaches her/his new home!
Cygne, my second SD ever
I would have posted this sooner, but I’ve been really sick, and between work and getting ready for Christmas I just didn’t have the energy.
On december 6th I placed my order for a basic Feeple60 Moe Cygne, with faceup!
I really wanted the fullset, including the vampire head with faceup, it was the most gorgeous face I’ve seen in a while and I really love vampires.. However, the price of the fullset was just too much for me considering I didn’t like the outfit that much, and I liked it even less when I found that Fairyland used real feathers.. It’s stupid to me, fake feathers will hold up against time much better than real feathers, and with fakes you know no animals were harmed.
It’s not the first time Fairyland has used real animal products in their sets, the LTF Luna fullset came with earmuffs made from real mink if I remember correctly. Why they do this, I have no idea.
Animal products aside, I’m so excited to get an SD girl again. My very first BJD was a Luts Miyu in WS, and that was years ago now!
I got the LTF event head to go with her, because even if my order was eligible for the MNF head, after I applied points I got below that amount and wasn’t sure if I was still eligible for it.. I just didn’t want to gamble as Fairyland has stated any order containing the wrong event gift would get cancelled. It wasn’t a big deal since I don’t actually like any of the event gifts this time around 😛
I now face a tiny problem.. I have nothing that will fit this girl!
I have no idea what eye size she’ll look best in, what wigs will fit her, what shoes will fit! She is a Moe after all, which means she is a tiny bit shorter than the regular Feeple60, 54cm according to the measurements on FL. Her head should be 9 inches around, so she could fit 8/9 or 9/10 wigs.
I did order a wig from formydoll, named FMDL-1058 in the color sweet milk, size 8/9, and I really hope it fits. Image from formydoll:

If this wig looks familiar it is because it is 😛 I have it in other sizes and colors, Lexi is always sporting one in pink, and I also have red and grey. I just love the parting, as I’m not a fan of bangs, and a straight parting gets dull eventually. I love the color a lot more in real life <3
I still need eyes unless she can take 16mm, as I have a few in that size. I’d love to get her an outfit before she arrives too, so she wont have to be naked. Shoes will probably be the last thing I get her.
I’m going to sell my MNF Moe body eventually so I can get her some more things, I just need to figure out if I want to keep the extra Chloe head that I have or not.
Oh, a little side note, Lexi is currently on the Fairyline body, and as much as I love it, when I ordered the body the only boob option was the huge ones, and I thought I’d learn to love them but I just can’t handle them at all, they are just too big. I posted a WTB for the second largest bust as I know many who ordered Sia way back got all the bust sizes as gifts, and a nice lady contacted me about it and I’m currently waiting for the new boobs to arrive! If only it was this simple for us too. I’m keeping the balloon boobs for now, as they can look nice with a corset or something in the future 🙂
