I can’t even think straight right now, customs have ignored my address in the national registry as well as the address on the package, and has shipped it to my moms address. I would have gotten her today, but now I either have to get my mom to pick it up and wait until I visit her next, or I have to wait until it arrives at the post office, contact the post and get them to ship her to the right address!
The funny thing is that I’m also leaving the country next week, and it will take the post an amazing long time to get her from one city to another. I think the last time they shipped a package wrong (but within the same city) it took like a week to move it from one part of town to another.
I’m seriously bummed right now, I was so sure I was going to have a lovely box opening today. There is nothing to be done about it though.. I just have to keep checking the tracking and decide on if I want mom to pick her up or get her shipped to the right city.
How can these things even happen? Usually Norway has an amazing postal system, but the last month or so it has been absolutely horrid. Or rather, the customs have been horrible, that’s where the mistakes are being made.
Oh well.. My cat will reach me eventually, I just need to take a deep breath and adjust my expectations. I’ll have her eventually.
Ringo in Norway
My ringo is in Norway and has been released from customs 😀 If everything goes smoothly, she should be home tomorrow!
And I also contacted oscar doll, and they agreed to change one of the eyes I ordered from 16mm to 14mm, so the purple ones stay 16mm and will be for my Cygne, and the multicolor ones will come in 14mm 🙂
I’m so happy right now, my dolls are in a great place, I’m getting some nice eyes, and most of the faces I wanted to sell have been sold (only a LTF faceplate left).
I’m thinking of selling some unused wigs and clothes, but I dread putting stuff up on instagram or facebook. I also really hate going to the post office 😛 But I have so much stuff, and my tastes have changed so much over the years. I’m trying to purge old stuff from my house, and at some point I will have to purge doll stuff too.
I just cant wait to meet my little cat, I hope I have some nice eyes for her laying around 🙂

Carol is home

Carol is traveling to me, but has not reached Norway yet. I just cant wait to meet her, I’ve seen a few owner pics now and she has looked both gorgeous and less so 😛 I just hope I’ll love her when I get to see her in real life!
And thanks to a kind instagram-person, I decided to order some eyes for Cygne. I want to order some from mako too, but I decided to get a pair from oscar doll eyes this time. I’ve been struggling with eye size for Cygne, because she can wear my 14mm glass eyes and it looks great, but when I try on the 14mm urethane eyes I have, they seem too small. I saw this gorgeous vampire Cygne on instagram that had what I guessed was oscar doll eyes, and they looked like the perfect size, so I decided to ask her owner, and they were indeed 16mm oscar doll eyes! I like the eyes to be a bit on the big size for my dolls, I never liked the more realistic look with small eyes. Hopefully the eyes will be amazing, because I only have 1 doll that can wear them 😛

I’ve liked purple for Cygne so far, but I could not resist the ones with multiple colors, they were so magical looking!
It’s almost funny how I feel like I’ve bonded more with Cygne these last few weeks knowing another head is coming home 😛 I did also add to her faceup, gave her a little more color, and I’m really liking it. It was really pale in real life, so she looked a bit washed out honestly.
So this is her after some more eyeshadow and lipstick ^^
I think the purple eyes will look so great on her, hopefully they are a bit lighter than the ones she’s wearing in the photo 🙂
Carol is coming home sooner than expected!
I had a feeling when I saw someone else had gotten their fullset Carol already, and the host of the split contacted me today letting me know that the doll is on her way to her now!
I actually also got the wig from the fullset, the host decided she didn’t want it and I really like the look of it from the pictures, so I jumped on the chance 🙂
Apparently she’s expecting to pick her up in a week or so, and then she’ll send me the head and wig 🙂
I’m so excited, from the few photos I’ve seen she looks as gorgeous as she did in the promo photos, so my Cygne will maybe have to move into a box for a while 😛 I think I’ll try to get another body at some point, but I just dont have the space for two large girls.
Super late box opening
I just realized I actually never put up the box opening of my little pink dragon!
It’s been for ever since I got him, but box openings are always fun, so I figured I should upload it anyway 🙂
I knew beforehand that it would have been wise to paint him before putting him together, but I just could not wait 🙂 I’ll post better pictures later.
I joined a split!
This is my very first time joining a split, I’m so nervous and excited, I can barely sit still!
I completely fell for Feeple60 Carol, her face is just stunning.. But I wasn’t really ready to bring home another large doll, not financially or space-wise 😛
I found someone hosting a split, and I just paid for the head! I’m dying, I cant wait to see this gorgeous girl face to face!
I’m not sure if I’ll keep Cygnes head or not yet, I need to get the new girl home before I decide. I really love Cygne too, so maybe I can get another body in the future.
Anyway I’m just so excited, I needed to share!
Bringing home a kitty again
I’ve been missing my ringo cats so much lately, and have been searching for the sweet vanilla edition I used to own once.. But I’ve been having absolutely no luck :/
I’m actually wondering what is happening with the second hand market, since I’m having trouble selling things as well as finding and buying things. I wonder if it has anything to do with the recast debacle. I know I don’t feel safe buying second hand any more, but I know it would be nearly impossible to replicate the limited faceup the Ringo girls came with.
Anyway, since I was missing my cats, and unsure of what Pipos might do in the future (since they have been changing the feet and bodies of so many sculpts) I decided I could not afford to wait any longer, so I placed my order for a basic ringo with faceup today!
I plan to add to the faceup a little, but I did not want to deal with starting a face from scratch at this time.
I’m so exited, I cant wait to have a little kitty again. She’ll be a girl, and she will have an extensive wardrobe to pick from since she can wear a lot of pukifee stuff ^^
I got her with just the regular tail, as the one in the photo was not available as an option today, which is really weird since it was available yesterday. I think I prefer the regular one anyway 🙂
I also sold my MNF Eva head, and I’m trying to sell my Fairyline body. A-line is absolutely where it’s at for me.
Eager for spring
There is something about the promise of spring that makes me want to do things. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately 🙂
Airbrushing.. Oh lord, what a headache. I’m still struggling so hard with the varnishes, and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’ve had a chat with a couple of airbrush users and I did get some tips, but I’m still having issues.
With Vallejo matt varnish, I’m not getting any tooth at all, which makes me believe that it’s not actually coating the doll at all, or very little. It also flaked off down to the “skin” of the doll when I tried to erase a mistake.
I’m having more success with the Liquitex method, but the surface looks almost fuzzy, and I’m having a hard time erasing mistakes or removing excess pastels. Liquitex is still the one that works best for me, because at least it gives me some tooth. I wish Vallejo worked for me as it doesn’t need to be thinned, so I feel there is less chance of errors. I will keep trying though 🙂

I really like her, I’m not good at drawing eyeshapes so for this one I tried replicating a shape Andreja did on one of her dolls, an I love the result 🙂 She may be my favorite MH doll 😀
And as I’m testing varnishes, I decided to go a little wild with the faceups too! I’ve always loved soft brown and pink tones in my faceups, because I’ve always had so many issues working with crazy colors, but I figured I didn’t have too much to lose right now. I had wiped my Frankie doll’s faceup a while ago, and I tried giving her a new face, this is a WIP picture:
This was so much fun to do, even if there are so many errors 🙂 I swear her eyes looked so symmetrical when I sealed them the first time, but as I kept working on her I saw that they were in fact not symmetrical at ALL! I’m also working on a Rochelle, and I have the same issue with her. I don’t mind too much right now, since I’m just having some fun and testing things out. More photos to follow I hope, unless something goes terribly wrong and I have to remove everything XD
I was also lucky enough to go treasure hunting in my aunts attic. She had some boxes that belongs to me there, and I found all my old my little ponies. They were in worse shape than I remembered, but it felt amazing to see them all again. I brought home one small pony that I cleaned, I think her name is heart throb, and I remember I loved her so much (and it shows). All my ponies were played with, so none of them are perfect. I even found my old Megan, but she is missing a shoe :/
These are not all of them, I have 3 brothers and 3 sister ponies as well, and you can kind of see Megan in the background there. I also have 3 very tiny baby ponies 🙂
I could only find tail rust on one of them, which I believe is baby cotton candy. You can see little heart throb to the right of the bride pony, you can see her hair is standing straight up!
Her hair got a nice treatment and looks way better now 🙂 The does have a scratch on her cheek blushing, as well as some spots here and there. My favorite pony was Firefly, and this girl reminded me of her for some reason, so she has been played with so much.
I want to get more of the ponies back home so I can try and remove any spots and stuff, and I should probably help the one with tail rust too! I think it may be a good idea to open up my sea pony, because she has been in water there might be mold inside. I’m really scared of opening up the ponies, a part of me wants to inspect every pony to look for mold, but I’m not sure if it is a good idea.
Anyway, that is what I’ve been up to ^^ I hope everyone had a magical easter/holiday, I hope to have more faceups to show you soon!
